Walks
There are a number of beautiful walks available around the North Norfolk coast – a good starting point for information is here - and this includes the Norfolk Coast Path, a major attraction for many of our visitors!
Birdwatching
For the birdwatcher's amongst our visitors, you are in for a treat, with Cley and Salthouse Marshes, one of the country’s most popular birdwatching areas, just 4 miles from the site. The two NWT reserves at Cley and Salthouse create a single coastal reserve of more than 300 hectares. We have also been known to attract a feathered visitor or two to the site ourselves!
Beaches
Varied beaches are in abundance along our coastline with everything from vast sandy beaches to traditional pebble beach seaside resorts. Amongst our favourites are Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea, Sheringham and Overstrand all within easy reach of the site - be sure to check the tide times to make the most of your visits! You can also walk through the village from the site to Weybourne beach, which serves as the starting point for a cliff top walk all the way to Sheringham!
